Outreach Services: Available at any point in your journey
Funded by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (PSSG), there are over 50 Outreach Services Programs in BC that respond to the needs of women and their dependent children who have experienced, or are at risk of violence. These programs deliver services which include supportive counselling for women, referrals to community services, accompaniment, and advocacy. KCCS is one of the centre's hosting Outreach Services.
If you have already left or are still struggling within an unhealthy or abusive relationship, we are here to help. Support staff will provide safety and healing, and be present as you go about rebuilding your life. We are available for 1 on 1 meetings regarding safety planning, parenting struggles, boundary setting, addictions, legal issues, financial aid, and general self care. More specific and complex assistance will be referred to other community agencies.
If you would like to talk to a support worker, please call our main line during office hours to book an initial meeting. If you need special privacy, please leave us detailed instructions about the safest way to reach you.
